I had a little leftover pumpkin puree from making muffins, so I added that to the kabocha after it was soft and simmered. I found that the immersion blender still left a little more texture than I wanted, but it was silky smooth after I pureed it in my Vitamix. I used about 1/2 the amount of milk and cream called for, and topped with chives. Yum!5 stars
